IMI Plc in Houston, TX seeks a Logistics Coordinator to manage international shipments, carrier coordination, and dock kitting. The role requires 3–5 years of logistics experience, a bachelor’s degree related to business or logistics, and forklift certification.

You will ensure compliant, efficient transport, document accuracy, and cost-effective supplier negotiations. The position is on-site with strong emphasis on cross‑functional collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement leveraging

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, vlookup, pivot tables and charts.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma principles in administrative processes.
• Bachelor-level degree and/or combination of education and experience with a business or international logistics emphasis.
• Proven 3–5 years experience as a logistics coordinator.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
• Maintain IMI certified Forklift licensing for loading/unloading materials.

Responsabilités

• Managing and coordination of transports with approved carriers.
• Managing all parts and kitting activities on the dock for shipment.
• Reviewing shipment materials before kitting and ensuring packaging readiness.
• Verify kitting of all components with photos stored in project folders.
• Collaborating with Shipping & Receiving and overseeing materials movement.
• Ensure POs are received and closed after inspection.
• Arrange transports and negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
• Prepare transport documents for shipments and customs.
• Coordinate with planning, store, and assembly departments.
• Liaise with project managers for shipping schedules and invoicing.
• Track orders to delivery and ensure PODs are available for invoicing.
• Identify and report safety observations daily.
• Maintain warehouse logs and records of stock and orders.
