Job summary
Maersk in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a Procurement Manager to join the Logistics & Services Procurement team. You will develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and lead sourcing initiatives across transportation and logistics categories.
Collaborate with Product, Operations, Finance, Legal and Commercial teams to drive cost leadership, service excellence, and profitable growth while ensuring compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate studies preferred.
- 5+ years of procurement or related experience.
- Experience developing procurement strategies and negotiating with suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with Excel and data analysis.
- Experience with Power BI and AI tools is desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to support growth.
- Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and sourcing initiatives.
- Build strategic relationships with key suppliers and partners.
- Manage RFP events and source-to-contract activities across categories.
- Analyze market trends and procurement data for decisions.
- Align procurement with Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Identify supply risks and drive continuous improvement.
