Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a Global Operations Associate to manage freight forwarding shipments across multiple modes based on customer requests. You will focus on operations excellence and delivering a high-quality customer service experience while maintaining station KPIs.

Responsibilities include tracking outbound shipments, contracting carriers, negotiating rates, and providing timely status updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to type 35+ words per minute and handle high-volume workflows.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Tracking outbound shipments and updating status in the TMS.
• Inspecting outbound freight for quality and accuracy.
• Contracting new carriers and issuing load tenders.
• Communicating freight status to stations and customers.
• Providing responsive customer service.
• Running reports and analytics on operations.
• Working overtime and weekend on-call rotations.
• Data entry of shipments into transportation management system.
• Domestic air and ground routing (including Canada).
• Negotiate freight rates and develop carrier relationships.
• Find and develop new logistics opportunities and carrier solutions.
• Coordinate with other offices to ensure on-time deliveries.
