Allied Steel Buildings in Texas seeks a Logistics Manager to lead shipping, transportation, and logistics for PEMB manufacturing operations across North America. You will ensure safe, on-time delivery of steel, components, and materials, coordinating cross‑functional teams and carrier relationships.

The role requires 5+ years in logistics leadership, strong load planning, and expertise with ERP/TMS systems, with a focus on cost control and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership in logistics, shipping, or operations within manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership overseeing logistics, shipping, or material handling personnel.
• Experience coordinating flatbed, oversized, or specialized freight shipments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with Production, Project, Shipping and Inventory teams to align schedules with project milestones.
• Develop shipment schedules aligning fabrication, finishing, and final assembly dates.
• Plan load sequencing to ensure correct arrival order at job sites.
• Create load plans to maximize trailer utilization while protecting product and maintaining compliance.
• Monitor production and shipment priorities to identify risks to delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on shipment requirements and constraints.
• Use ERP/TMS systems to manage shipment status, inventory visibility, and delivery requirements.
• Resolve production, inventory, or transportation issues that delay shipments.
• Provide regular shipment updates, timelines, and delivery information.
• Build relationships with freight brokers and carriers to ensure reliable service and pricing.
• Analyze freight costs and identify opportunities for cost reductions and performance improvements.
