Job summary

Synthomer plc is seeking a Global Logistics Specialist in Beachwood, Ohio to support US import/export and domestic logistics, coordinating with sites, service providers, and customer service teams. The role emphasizes timely shipments, document preparation, and collaboration with brokers to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, managing documentation, reporting logistics data and costs, and working with cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years in international/domestic shipping, warehouse or distribution operations.
• Knowledge of customs, Incoterms 2020, import/export documentation and international shipping practices.
• Experience with ocean carrier processes and port operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment activities at external distribution/transload facilities and import/export shipments.
• Prepare and distribute international documentation (booking requests, invoices, COAs, carrier orders).
• Communicate with Customer Care, Supply Chain planning, and intercompany teams on bookings and progress.
• Capture logistics data and costs; identify savings by mode, site and product.
• Maintain SAP system integrity and support cost control initiatives.
