Honda is seeking a Logistics Specialist on 1st shift to support New Model project parts and shipping across manufacturing, quality, production, and suppliers. You will help achieve on-time delivery targets for internal and external customers, including the Japan organization, critical to the New Model launch.

Responsibilities include coordinating domestic and international transport, preparing export/import docs, and aligning change levels with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution

Formación

• Minimum Educational Qualifications: Highschool diploma/community college degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum Experience: 2-4 years of related experience may be substituted for a degree or combination of same.
• Other Job-Specific Skills: Microsoft Office, Communication - Public Speaking/Presentation skills, Problem solving and decision making, Project management qualifications are optional

Responsabilidades

• Support Logistics Sr. Specialist for shipping white bodies, prototype units, and production parts from New Model trial event.
• Coordinate domestic and international transportation modes (truck, air, ocean, rail).
• Prepare export/import documentation and hazmat requirements for Sr. Specialist review and validation.
• Ensure design change levels align with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and program teams.
• Prepare vehicles for handover to courier per requirements.
• Assist Engineering PM to manage Trial Event Unit Requests supporting Sales Engineering and Design needs.
• Solicit and communicate total Sales Engineering and Design unit requirements to meet project targets and negotiate changes.
• Issue Production instructions to direct ordering, production, and fabrication of parts for New Model trial units.
• Identify, track, and resolve critical trial event concerns and report to the team.
• Manage New Model Trial event parts control and receiving standards.
• Document shipping/logistics problem items and ensure closure to meet project targets with involved teams.
