Job summary

JMT Staffing Solutions is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join a growing manufacturing organization in Massachusetts. You will manage end-to-end shipments, both domestic and international, coordinating with Purchasing, Production, Sales and Customer Service to keep operations moving smoothly.

The role requires 3-5 years in logistics or supply chain, with freight forwarding experience and ERP/WMS/TMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience.
• 3+ years Freight Forwarding Experience.
• Experience coordinating both domestic and international shipments.
• Understanding of shipping documentation, customs, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with ERP, WMS, or TMS software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from start to finish.
• Schedule freight pickups and deliveries while ensuring on-time shipment.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Sales, and Customer Service teams to support daily operations.
• Manage relationships with freight carriers and transportation providers.
• Compare shipping options to improve costs, transit times, and overall efficiency.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation or delivery issues.
• Prepare shipping documentation and international trade paperwork as needed.
• Ensure compliance with customs, import/export, transportation, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and inventory traceability.
• Analyze freight costs and assist with logistics budgeting and reporting.
• Communicate shipment status with both internal teams and external customers.
