Job summary

Pelican is hiring a Global Logistics Analyst in Torrance, CA. The role focuses on turning global logistics data into smarter business decisions and shaping visibility, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our logistics network.

You will collaborate with Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to develop analytics, forecasts, dashboards, and business cases that help leaders understand trends, costs, and opportunities for optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or a related analytics field.
• Experience analyzing transportation, distribution, logistics, or operating costs.
• Strong proficiency with large data sets, Excel, and SAP ERP.
• Experience with BI/Visualization, SQL, TMS, WMS, or related platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyze global logistics spend and performance across transportation, distribution centers, 3PLs, parcel, ocean freight, and other activities.
• Gather, validate, and analyze data from SAP ERP and other internal/external systems to create insights.
• Develop cost, trend, variance, benchmarking, forecasting, budgeting, and network analyses to uncover opportunities.
• Define, monitor, and report key logistics KPIs across cost, service, capacity, transportation, and distribution center performance.
• Build and maintain analytical models, dashboards, scorecards, and reports for visibility into global logistics performance.
• Translate complex datasets into insights, recommendations, and executive-ready presentations.
