Job summary

Ascent Global Logistics seeks an Account Manager to handle import/export brokerage and freight forwarding for assigned customers. You will analyze options, advise on price, transit time, routing, and customer requirements, and serve as the primary contact for the accounts.

You will monitor shipments from loading to delivery, resolve issues with internal teams and government agencies, and prepare required documents. A 3–5 year background in international logistics is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years industry experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree helpful.
• CES or CCS preferred, LCB helpful.
• Able to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, industry journals, and legal documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to customers and management.

Responsibilities

• Manage import/export brokerage and freight forwarding needs.
• Provide option analysis and recommendations on routing and carrier options.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve issues with internal/external teams.
• Prepare documents for U.S. Customs and other agencies.
• Maintain and organize client records and organize all transactional documents.
• Stay informed on import/export laws and regulations.
• May visit customer locations with the GM or Sales Executive.
