Job summary

Equinix is seeking a strategic Localization Leader to oversee translation and localization governance, establish standards, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement across multilingual content. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine language priorities and ensure high-quality localization across global programs.

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in localization, translation management, or a related field.
Strong understanding of language tiering models and translation quality standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
High emotional intelligence and ability to influence.
Experience managing vendor relationships and driving process improvements.
Familiarity with translation tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

Own internal guidance on language sets, service levels, and translation quality.
Periodically evaluate and update priority languages and language tiering models as Equinix expands into new markets.
Reinforce and evangelize localization and internationalization best practices across the organization.
Serve as an escalation point for functional and regional teams to resolve translation-related issues.
Collaborate with the business to identify content that must be translated across the end-to-end customer and employee experience by language tier.
Monitor and optimize vendor performance and tooling for enterprise-wide use.
Oversee self-service translation capabilities and integration points.
