Job summary

The Evolution Championship Series (Evo) seeks a Technical Director to lead the technical planning, development and execution of Evo's live broadcasts, on-site experiences, studio productions and related content.

You will collaborate with production partners worldwide and report to Evo’s Head of Production, shaping technical infrastructure and workflows for premier fighting game events.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience leading a team of engineers in a live broadcast environment.
• Proven ability to design and deliver technical infrastructures and solutions for live broadcasts.
• Experience working in a live studio environment.
• Ability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Technical Production Management: Guide and oversee Evo’s global production teams and communicate requirements.
• Tech Bible Maintenance: Maintain best practices for Evo broadcasts including video, audio, graphics, lighting and feeds.
• External Production Oversight: Review external partners’ elements to meet technical needs.
• RFP Writing: Help write RFPs with technical expectations for partners.
• Evo Team Collaboration: Work across Evo Production teams to provide technical solutions.
• Technical Production Design: Design infrastructures for live events and non-event productions.
• Managing the Technical Team: Hire and manage engineers and staff and handle contracts.
