BMC Software is seeking a strategic Chief Litigation Counsel to lead its global litigation and disputes portfolio. You will provide legal guidance to executive leadership, align strategies with business objectives, and manage budgets and outside counsel relationships across jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will be a creative, business-minded problem-solver with broad litigation experience in software technology, and the ability to issue-spot in ambiguous situations. Travel may be required.

Qualificações

• JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• 7+ years of progressive legal experience managing significant litigation in-house or at a major law firm.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a high-volume global portfolio of complex litigation and disputes across jurisdictions through the full lifecycle.
• Lead internal attorneys, paralegals, cross-border legal personnel, and outside counsel with effective delegation and budgeting.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies to protect the company’s interests and align with business objectives.
• Advise on IP enforcement and defense in global markets; represent the company in legal proceedings, regulatory hearings, and forums.
• Oversee outside counsel selection, engagement terms, budgeting, and cost efficiency; manage the litigation budget.
