Job summary

Goodwin seeks a Senior Manager, Legal Project Management to partner with partners and fee earners across practice groups. You will drive matter delivery, commercial discipline, and client transparency, working with the Head of LPM and the Client Value & Pricing team to embed LPM into how the firm delivers work.

You will lead end-to-end LPM on complex matters, develop matter plans and budgets, and mentor others while championing AI, automation, and data tools to improve forecasting and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in legal project management or equivalent.
• Experience embedding LPM in nascent environments with partners.
• Exposure to design thinking, Lean, Agile, Six Sigma.
• Involvement in training, coaching, or change management initiatives.
• PMP/PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
• Strong commercial mindset with budgeting and profitability focus.
• Analytical and financial acumen with data-driven recommendations.
• Hands-on experience with legal tech platforms and BI/reporting tools.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influence with seniors.
• Ability to set a vision and lead others on the journey.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end LPM support on complex matters, on scope, budget, and timeline.
• Ensure completion reviews capture lessons and best practices.
• Drive commercial discussions around scope, budget risk, and profitability.
• Develop matter plans, budgets, and resource trackers with real-time visibility.
• Create client dashboards and deliver transparent progress updates.
• Articulate delivery performance through value reports and reviews.
• Help build the LPM operating model, toolkit, and templates.
• Mentor junior team members as the function scales.
