Job summary

KKR’s Global Benefits team is seeking a Leaves and Benefits Specialist to manage leaves of absence and assist with employee benefits operations across the Americas. Based in Des Moines, this role will primarily support employees in the U.S., Bermuda, and Canada.

This individual will handle day-to-day leaves activities and contribute to leaves experience improvements, vendor service delivery, and participant understanding of plans. The role requires at least three years of U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, human capital or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience with U.S. employee benefits and wellness programs.
• HIPAA training to be completed upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leaves of absence and disability/accommodations per laws and firm policies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver streamlined leaves experience.
• Serve as primary contact for benefits inquiries across programs (workers’ comp, travel insurance).
• Manage day-to-day benefits operations and lifecycle events in HRIS systems.
• Assist in U.S., Bermuda, and Canada benefits administration activities.
• Create and deliver communications to drive awareness of benefits and wellness programs.
• Enhance Benefits governance and drive operational efficiencies.
• Support benefits integration during mergers or acquisitions within the Americas.
• Maintain knowledge of benefits programs and regulatory requirements across regions.
