Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Leaves & Accommodations Analyst to manage day-to-day administration of leave-of-absence and workplace accommodations programs. You will coordinate cases from intake to closure, maintain records, and ensure timely handoffs across HR, Payroll, and external partners.

The role is hands-on and employee-facing, requiring careful execution, empathy, and adherence to policies. You will partner with HR Business Partners, Payroll, HR Systems, and vendors, reporting to the Senior

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting leave of absence, workplace accommodations, or related HR operations.
• Experience with case administration and confidential records.
• Familiarity with HRIS and Workday is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assigned leave cases, including intake, documentation follow-up, case tracking, return-to-work coordination, and closure for US and international requests.
• Provide clear, empathetic updates to employees about required information, timelines and next steps.
• Coordinate accommodations process: organize information, follow-ups, and document next steps for ergonomic, disability-related, and religious accommodations.
• Maintain leave and accommodations data in HRIS and case-tracking systems; assist with audits or testing with HR Systems.
• Prepare payroll handoffs: verify information and flag discrepancies, ensuring corrections are completed.
• Coordinate work across partners: track actions with third-party administrators, vendors, HR Business Partners, Payroll, and HR Systems.
• Stay on top of deadlines and requests; raise urgent needs to manager early.
• Suggest practical improvements to documentation and processes to reduce errors.
