Job summary

Atlantic Council’s Millennium Leadership Program internship offers hands-on experience across event planning, proposals, communications, and program logistics in Washington, DC. You will work closely with a small, entrepreneurial team, drafting proposals and coordinating international activities while learning from Fellows and senior staff.

You’ll manage data, help design surveys, and contribute to a fast-paced program that blends leadership development with real-world execution.

Qualifications

• Graduate student or recent graduate in political science / international affairs / public policy / communications / international education.
• Demonstrated interest in international affairs, foreign policy, or international exchange.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with WordPress, Canva, Salesforce, Monday.com, or similar platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep applicant data, scheduling, program materials, and coordination of meetings and activities with accuracy and follow-through.
• Own logistical pieces of our convenings, including international study tours, retreats, trainings, and virtual programming.
• Draft proposals, promotional materials, social media posts, website content, and support the publication process for long-form pieces.
• Help design surveys, track metrics, and run basic data analysis to support monitoring and evaluation work.
• Take notes at meetings and events, flag issues, and help close loops.
• Be flexible and proactive in a fast-paced, all-hands-on-deck team environment.
