Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Lead Physical Security Hardware Specialist to guide the global Security Systems and Technology Organization, owning the hardware stack for access control, CCTV/VMS, IDS, and related platforms. You will shape strategy, standardization, and lifecycle operations across sites, mentoring a high-performing team to deliver scalable security capabilities.

You will work closely with IT, INFOSEC, and facilities, bring deep Genetec/Lenel/Avigilon expertise, and ensure enterprise-wide

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certification.
• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise‑level physical security systems such as CCTV, access control, VMS, IDS, fire/alarm systems.
• 1+ years of direct leadership responsibility across global sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Security Systems and Technology Organization, providing strategic direction and organizational leadership for the entire hardware and systems function.
• Lead, mentor, train, and develop the global Security Hardware Specialist organization, including performance management and career progression.
• Develop and communicate the overall security systems and technology strategy, roadmap, and change management plans, aligning with SpaceX objectives.
• Drive end-to-end systems and hardware integration of access control, video management, intrusion detection, analytics, and related platforms with IT and enterprise tools.
• Serve as Principal Administrator and License Manager for enterprise platforms; provision and integrate new servers/systems; coordinate with IT/INFOSEC/Purchasing.
• Demonstrate and apply strong Genetec platform knowledge for unified access control and video surveillance; implement advanced capabilities.
• Set and enforce enterprise standards for equipment selection, configuration, installation, training, and best practices.
• Ensure on-schedule completion of complex, multi-site projects with standardized equipment and processes.
• Lead vendor/contractor management for design and large-scale security infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate on SCIF development, data centers, MDFs, and other security initiatives; maintain TS/SCI eligibility.
