Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Senior Counsel/Director to lead legal support for stablecoin enablement within Transfer Solutions, reporting to Senior Managing Counsel. You will coordinate globally with product, technology, operations and treasury to design compliant, scalable solutions and manage regulatory risk.

You will draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, monitor legal developments in digital assets, and collaborate with Compliance and Regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on payments, money movement, fintech, product development and commercial transactions.
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional launches and partner risk.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, counseling, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted legal advisor for stablecoin enablement across Cross-Border Services.
• Partner with product, technology and operations to design and launch stablecoin-enabled solutions.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with financial institutions and fintechs.
• Monitor global legal developments affecting digital assets and money movement.
• Collaborate with Regulatory, Compliance and Competition teams to manage risk.
• Develop legal playbooks, templates and approval processes for scalable execution.
• Manage external counsel for jurisdiction-specific advice and execution.
