Job summary

NSA's Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), support policymakers and analysts by analyzing, transcribing, and translating foreign language material. The program offers an intense, accelerated path through LADP with multiple tours across offices and formal training to build SIGINT analytic capabilities.

Candidates should have ILR 2/2 proficiency, a degree in any field, and relevant experience in translation, transcription, or analysis.

Qualifications

ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening in the target language is required.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in language work or related fields (translation, transcription, analysis).
For Full Performance and Senior levels, leadership experience may be required.

Responsibilities

Offer policymakers and leaders insights by analyzing, transcribing, and translating key information.
Research cultures to understand geopolitical contexts and language use.
Apply new techniques to synthesize large data volumes across sources for analytic insights.
Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends relevant to SIGINT.
Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights for NSA audiences.
Work independently and with teams across NSA and the IC on research, analysis, and reporting.
