Job summary

NSA’s Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) support the SIGINT mission by analyzing foreign language materials, translating, and delivering analytic insight. Candidates may enter via the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire, with tours across offices and formal training in the Cryptologic Training System.

Applicants must have ILR level 2/2 reading and listening proficiency, strong analytic and communication skills, and a background in language work or related fields.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• One year of relevant language or analytic experience.
• Ability to work in intelligence analysis, security studies, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key foreign language information.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts related to the data.
• Apply new techniques to solve analytic problems with large data.
• Craft written and oral assessments for policymakers and partners.
• Work independently and collaborate with NSA and the Intelligence Community.
