Job summary

Illumina is seeking a Vice President & General Manager, Global Laboratory Services Business & Operations to lead a global, cross-functional team and expand Illumina’s laboratory service offerings across markets and partners.

The role drives strategy, transformation, and disciplined operational execution across R&D, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to deliver a differentiated portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences service laboratory operations; MBA or advanced clinical degree preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of increasing leadership experience, working in a complex matrixed organization.
• 5+ years of executive or senior-level leadership experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years leading a 3rd-party laboratory services business with P&L management responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year global growth and business strategy for 3rd-party service offerings across served markets.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver operational plans and expected business results.
• Oversee a multi-year innovative roadmap of laboratory service offerings.
• Collaborate with global and regional commercial and operations teams for transformation and execution.
• Ensure compliant and scalable portfolio of laboratory service solutions across regions.
• Lead the unified organization with a culture of accountability and collaboration.
