Job summary

Illumina is seeking a Director of Global Facilities Engineering & Center of Excellence in the United States. You will define strategy for engineering and project management, lead a global team overseeing design, maintenance, validation, and commissioning of facilities.

You will drive budgets, optimize costs, ensure GMP compliance, partner with CSR and IT, and advance energy efficiency and sustainability across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 18+ years related experience with 10+ years in management.
• Experience with facility validation and commissioning.
• Experience building global organizations and centers of excellence.
• Experience with large-scale capital projects and GMP facilities.
• FDA interactions experience desirable.
• Proficient with CMMS, IWMS, SAP and EAM systems.

Responsibilities

• Define vision and strategy for Engineering and Project Management organizations that aligns with corporate goals.
• Provide technical leadership for global facility operations, projects and initiatives in a regulated environment.
• Develop and lead a Center of Excellence program for engineering activities including talent management and governance.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team delivering best practices for efficiency, quality and compliance.
• Oversee all aspects of engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and quality protocols.
