Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Operations Manager to join its Invitae Genetics team in San Francisco, CA. The role focuses on operational leadership of the clinical laboratory, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficient workflows across the department.

Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting, process improvements, and collaboration with R&D, Quality, and regulatory teams to support assay launches and technology upgrades. A strong track record in high-complexity labs is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 10+ years clinical laboratory experience.
• 5+ years supervisory/management experience.
• 2+ years in high-complexity clinical laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight for the clinical laboratory and ensure reliable daily operations.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, and workflow to meet turnaround-time targets.
• Support regulatory inspections and maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state requirements.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and CAPA activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, LIMS, and Supply Chain.
