Job summary

The Emmes Company, LLC seeks a Director of IT Operations to lead global IT services, end-user computing, identity and access, and hybrid Azure/infrastructure for our enterprise. You will manage a follow-the-sun team across the Americas, India, and Europe, ensuring availability, performance, and a fast, consistent user experience.

In this role you will standardize operations, own the budget and vendor relationships, and drive ITIL-aligned service management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 15+ years progressive IT operations experience (hybrid cloud/on‑prem).
• 5+ years leading a distributed, follow-the-sun IT operations org.
• Experience in regulated life sciences or clinical research preferred.
• Strong ITIL/ITSM, governance, and vendor-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the global IT service desk on Jira Service Management with global SLAs.
• Direct end-user computing and device management (Intune) across devices.
• Govern Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and licensing optimization.
• Lead a distributed IT operations team across regions with budget ownership.
• Partner with security/governance for audit readiness and continuity.
