Job summary
Fortune Media is seeking a hands-on Director of IT to own the technology backbone across identity, endpoints, networking, security, collaboration tooling, and office infrastructure. You will lead a two-person team and drive both day-to-day service quality and long-term modernization.
This is a working leadership role within a Microsoft shop with global operations. You will manage budgets, vendor relationships, security/compliance, and strategic IT initiatives across New York, London, and Asia,
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of IT operations or infrastructure experience; 10-12 years with 2+ years in management preferred.
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure AD administration.
- Hands-on networking and security expertise (VPN, DNS/DHCP, IAM, patch management).
- Experience supporting global, distributed offices across time zones.
- Excellent communication and risk assessment for executives.
Responsibilities
- Lead a two-person systems team and support offices in NY, London, and Asia.
- Own IT budget, vendor renewals, licenses, and contracts.
- Ensure day-to-day service quality and long-term IT modernization.
- Support live events, executive meetings, and newsroom broadcasts.
- Partner with Engineering, HR, Finance, Legal and Facilities.
