Amazon Inc. is seeking a Global Category Manager within the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) Tech Category Team to lead global sourcing for IT hardware and related services.

You will develop category strategies, drive cost savings, and manage supplier performance across NA and international operations. The role requires strong analytical thinking, stakeholder influence, and experience negotiating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and SQL
• 3+ years in strategic sourcing and category management in indirect categories
• 3+ years defining and executing program timelines & requirements
• 3+ years developing diverse supplier strategies and executing sourcing activities
• Experience managing spend of at least $75 million

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year global category strategies for IT hardware and services
• Lead competitive sourcing events, negotiate terms, and award contracts
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and track KPIs
• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Operations globally to align strategies
• Analyze global spend data to identify savings and optimization opportunities
• Monitor market trends to inform strategy and risk mitigation
• Ensure supplier compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements
• Identify process improvements across procure-to-pay and catalog adoption
• Collaborate with regional teams to balance global and local requirements
