Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Global Category Manager to lead sourcing and supplier relationships for AWS hardware infrastructure. You will manage capacity planning, multi-sourcing, and contract manufacturing while driving cost reductions across global platforms.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, executive communication, and delivering resilient supply chains for AWS data center needs. Extensive experience in cloud tech and AI-related sourcing is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
• 5+ years working with Core Cloud Technology Services (Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, Networking).
• 5+ years of Data & AI related technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, Storage).
• 5+ years in program management or metrics-driven decision making.
• Experience influencing leadership decisions at org-wide level.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional release schedules and programs.
• Experience communicating complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience presenting to executives and managing multi-year cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic ICs sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.
• Understand industry and technology trends.
• Identify key technology trends and drive supplier roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
• Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop negotiation strategies to meet business objectives and maintain supplier relationships.
• Provide weekly core-team updates and monthly executive updates; manage vendor escalations.
• Present to senior leadership via written narratives.
• Lead capacity planning and contract negotiations to scale manufacturing at launch.
• Coordinate multi-sourcing strategies and contract manufacturing for platforms.
• Maintain primary supplier contacts for capacity and risk management.
• Support global footprint expansion and cost optimization initiatives.
