Job summary

AMBOSS is seeking a Legal Counsel to support IT and data protection matters across our business, operating in a highly international context. You will advise, implement, and streamline privacy practices in collaboration with product and technology teams.

We value clear communication, strong drafting skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments in English and German. This role offers a chance to shape privacy work at a fast-growing tech company with global reach.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with IT and data protection experience.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience at a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel.
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Enjoys drafting legal documents and communicating complex requirements clearly.

Responsibilities

• Advise teams on data protection questions and implementations.
• Assess compliance risks at system and process levels and develop them.
• Incorporate international data protection requirements into the existing setup.
• Support product development with tech and product teams.
• Review data protection agreements and tools for compliance.
• Create and update internal data protection policies and procedures.
• Handle data subject rights requests and coordinate with departments.
• Collaborate with DPO, General Counsel, and the Legal team.
