Job summary

Aggreko in Houston seeks a Global Category Manager- Independent Power Producer Projects to lead strategic procurement for IPP ventures in North America, shaping sourcing strategies and challenging stakeholders for best commercial outcomes.

The role partners with procurement, engineering and the IPP team, building supplier relationships, developing commercial requirements for proposals, and ensuring contracts and terms support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

5+ years in procurement, supply chain and vendor management.
Experience in power generation, catalysts, transformers, batteries or related capital equipment.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to challenge stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide independent commercial oversight to projects and challenge stakeholders for best outcomes.
Understand IPP customer base requirements and market opportunities.
Lead development of the IPP supply chain strategy and supplier selection process.
Support the IPP team in formulating the business case for opportunities.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Develop commercial requirements for customer proposals.
Ensure commercial aspects are in place to execute projects.
Understand business requirements and manage the supplier base with appropriate contracts.
Engage and manage stakeholders across the organization.
