Job summary

Aggreko plc in Houston seeks a Global Category Manager for Independent Power Producer Projects to lead strategic procurement for IPP initiatives in North America. You will shape supply chain strategy, steer supplier selection and challenge stakeholders to maximize value.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement with power–sector exposure, strong negotiation, and leadership. You’ll collaborate across procurement, engineering and IPP teams, develop commercial requirements, and ensure contracts

Qualifications

5+ years in procurement, supply chain and vendor management.
Experience with power generation equipment and related capital goods.
Ability to lead and represent the strategic procurement function within IPP teams.

Responsibilities

Provide independent commercial oversight to IPP projects and challenge stakeholders for optimal outcomes.
Understand customer requirements within IPP opportunities and broader market.
Lead development of supply chain strategy and supplier selection processes for IPP.
Support business cases underpinning opportunities.
Build strong internal and supplier relationships across procurement, engineering, IPP teams.
Develop commercial requirements of customer proposals per project.
Ensure commercial aspects and contracts enable successful project execution.
Maintain detailed understanding of business needs and supplier base; secure appropriate contracts.
Engage and manage stakeholders across the organization.
