Job summary

Brivo, Inc. in Austin is seeking a Data Center Operations Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of our global data center infrastructure.

You will manage the end-to-end hardware lifecycle—deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and decommissioning equipment—while driving automation and process improvements. As the technical lead for deployments and complex issues, you will establish technical standards and ensure high availability across Brivo's sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data center operations, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical role.
• Austin-local (regular travel within the Austin metro area; no remote).
• Experience with DCIM and infrastructure management tools such as NetBox or Nautobot.
• Strong root-cause-analysis and troubleshooting skills across server hardware and physical infrastructure.
• Automation-oriented mindset with an AI-native posture (active user of tools like Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, upgrade, and decommission servers, storage, networking, and data center infrastructure.
• Serve as the technical lead for physical infrastructure deployments and complex operational issues.
• Drive automation and process improvements that reduce manual effort across data center operations.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents, manage asset inventory, and lead capacity planning.
