Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a Category Inventory Manager to oversee enterprise-wide inventory strategies and replenishment using SAP and related systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fill rates, manage SKU transitions, and minimize excess inventory while supporting demand planning, merchandising, and finance. Strong data analysis and supplier coordination are essential, with Atlanta, GA as the base.

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline and 2–5 years of experience; MS/MA with 2–4 years also acceptable.
• Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Leverages SAP and other systems to execute day-to-day inventory control and optimize fill rates.
• Monitors analytics to prevent stockouts and minimize DOH while expediting deliveries.
• Develops inventory strategy for new SKUs, discontinued SKUs, and seasonal stock.
• Audits product master data (UoM, vendor SKU, case quantity) for accuracy.
• Partners with Inventory Analytics, Merchandising for fill rate and excess inventory issues.
• Coordinates with Demand Management to align EOQ, min/max, safety stock with business objectives.
• Manages supplier relations to address fill rate, lead time, returns and imports.
• Collaborates with Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, Inventory, and Finance to onboard new products and promotions.
• Executes aged, obsolete and excess inventory reduction strategies.
