Job summary

Codex is seeking a hands-on Controller to own global inventory and cost accounting across brands and entities. This hybrid role covers standard costing, landed cost, and COGS within a live NetSuite environment, leading two direct reports and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities include managing variances, inventory valuations, and channel accounting for e-commerce platforms, while partnering with purchasing and logistics to optimize margins and close activities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on standard costing in Oracle NetSuite across multi-entity, multi-currency setups.
• 7+ years of accounting experience in consumer goods, retail or e-commerce.
• Proficient in standard costing, landed cost, variances, inventory valuation, reserves.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency orgs and multiple warehouses.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA/CMA/ACCA/CA preferred.
• Proven track record of managing and developing direct reports.
• Advanced Excel with strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own standard cost model, landed cost, and inventory valuation across brands/entities.
• Analyze purchase price, inventory and COGS variances by brand, channel, entity.
• Manage inventory reconciliations, reserves, provisions across warehouses.
• Oversee transaction accounting for e-commerce channels (Shopify, Amazon, Shopee).
• Partner with purchasing, operations and logistics on costs and margins.
• Own close activities for inventory, COGS and channel revenue, including journals.
• Lead 2 direct reports; improve processes, automation, and audit-ready docs.
