Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Bolingbrook, IL, is seeking an experienced Senior Tax professional to lead international tax compliance, reporting, and planning. You will partner with finance, accounting, and legal teams to optimize the company’s global tax position while ensuring SOX controls and timely filings.

The role requires 5–8+ years in international tax at a Big 4 or multinational company, a relevant degree, and strong communication skills to mentor staff and coordinate with authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Taxation/Accounting/Finance or CPA preferred.
• 5-8+ years of progressive international tax experience in a Big 4 firm or multinational corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. international tax rules and global tax frameworks.
• Experience with tax compliance software and systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a global, fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review U.S. international tax filings and FATCA reporting.
• Oversee foreign statutory tax filings and deadlines.
• Coordinate international tax provision components (GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits).
• Manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany pricing.
• Lead audits and defend tax positions with supporting documentation.
• Support global tax planning and cross-border structuring initiatives.
• Mentor tax staff and drive process improvements.
