Job summary

Alan is hiring an Insurance Compliance Counsel to translate regulatory obligations into the company’s tools, processes, and products. You will own the compliance posture, collaborate with Legal, Operations, Sales, and Product, and act as the primary interface with regulators across markets.

You will drive audits, complaints handling, anti-money laundering, and compliance program enhancements, while ensuring alignment with local requirements as Alan expands globally.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of compliance experience in insurance or fintech with coverage of AML/CFT, insurance distribution (IDD), complaints handling or regulatory reporting.
• Strong understanding of French insurance regulation and EU/local requirements.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional compliance projects and deliver with minimal friction.
• Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.
• International exposure is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate regulatory obligations into actionable product, process and tooling requirements.
• Collaborate across Insurance, Product, Sales, Ops and Care to implement compliant controls.
• Maintain and improve internal control mapping, risk assessments, and remediation plans.
• Lead regulatory reporting and audit readiness across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with local counsel to adapt group frameworks for new markets.
