Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Global Insights Senior Manager to partner with brand and cross-functional teams, independently owning the integrated insight agenda for a pipeline asset, brand, or disease area. You will generate business-relevant insights shaping global planning, lifecycle management, and critical decisions.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of market research and/or analytics experience.
• Masters degree and 4 years of market research and/or analytics experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of market research and/or analytics experience.
• Associates degree and 10 years of market research and/or analytics experience.
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of market research and/or analytics experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently own the integrated insight agenda for a complex global brand, pipeline asset, or disease area; define the highest-value business questions and translate them into prioritized, decision-focused work plans.
• Synthesize information from market research, competitive intelligence, secondary data, advisory boards, and internal knowledge to develop strategic insights.
• Lead ad hoc strategic secondary analytics and integrate data for evidence-based narratives and recommendations.
• Develop business cases and facilitate workshops supporting lifecycle management and senior leadership decisions.
• Plan, design, and lead primary market research with agencies across product lifecycle stages.
• Serve as the insights subject matter expert, understanding HCP/payer insights and connecting them to brand strategy.
• Partner with leadership to define objectives, budgets, and work plans; align cross-functional actions.
• Communicate insights to senior leadership and act as a constructive devil’s advocate when needed.
• Identify and manage vendor relationships; direct agency teams and allocate resources for high-value work.
• Coach managers on problem framing, research design, synthesis, and executive communication; promote best practices.
