Job summary

FAO is seeking a Global Initiative Facilitator to support the PAS Terra initiative at the global level, ensuring strategic alignment among founding members and partners. The role focuses on governance, policy dialogue, and learning processes to advance agroforestry and agroecology agendas.

The incumbent will coordinate with six founding members, organize activities, monitor progress, and report to the SC. Remote-based assignment for four months, with emphasis on collaboration and results.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, Rural Development, Public Policy, International Relations, Economics, Public Administration, Project Management, or a related field
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in sustainable rural development, agroecology, or related areas
• Working knowledge (level C) of English and Portuguese
• National of Brazil

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement PAS TERRA priorities with founding organizations and country partners
• Facilitate policy, technical and operational processes under Steering Committee supervision
• Develop and monitor annual work plans and budgets for SC approval
• Monitor progress and deliver regular updates to the SC and partners
• Strengthen national and international partnerships and mobilize resources
