Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks an experienced security infrastructure leader to define strategic security projects for AWS global data centers in Austin.

You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and vendors to deliver scalable physical security solutions from design through deployment. The role requires 3+ years of infra security experience, strong knowledge across access control, network security, cryptography, and security architecture, and a proven ability to manage

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
• Knowledge of access-control, network security, app/system security, security architecture/models, cryptography, and operations security.
• Experience reading/writing procedures, technical docs, and engineering drawings, or construction experience.
• 3+ years of cross-functional stakeholder management in projects.
• Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to inform decisions and drive improvements.
• Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy to execution.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic framework for new build physical security projects, establishing requirements, success criteria, and decision gates that enable execution teams to deliver from design feasibility through deployment
• Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and senior management on a daily basis
• Identify opportunities to improve physical security outcomes across new builds and expansions, defining scalable approaches and success metrics that execution teams can operationalize
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective solutions and deliver results on time
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors
• Lead continuous improvement processes to improve physical security programs
• Implement and fully document improvements and modifications related to new technologies
