Job summary

The World Bank Group in Washington, DC is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist to develop, structure, and implement project finance solutions that mobilize private capital for sustainable infrastructure.

You will work with MIGIG and WB task teams to analyze financial models, assess risk, and design transaction structures that attract banks and investors, coordinating with regional and global practice areas.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, international business, public policy, or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience.
• Background in investment and development banking.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure policies, strategies and institutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in a second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients internally and externally (governments) on private investments for sustainable infrastructure with a focus on private sector financing.
• Support expansion of project pipeline and mobilization of private sector financing.
• Assist in preparation, structuring, negotiation and monitoring of transactions of investment and policy operations.
• Collaborate with World Bank Task Teams to conduct due diligence for infrastructure finance operations.
• Develop and lead conceptualization of MIGIG marketing materials and knowledge products (webinars, brochures, case studies).
• Contribute to risk assessment, financial structuring, and transaction processing, and ensure readiness of projects for financial markets.
