Job summary

Ambition in partnership with a leading global law firm seeks a Business Development Manager to drive industry-focused BD initiatives for the Infrastructure Industry Group from New York. You will collaborate with global leadership, partners, and cross-functional Marketing & Business Development teams to deliver strategic client engagement, integrated campaigns, and compelling market positioning.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development and marketing within a law firm or professional services.
• Strong client engagement and revenue growth focus.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and campaigns.

• Willingness to mentor junior BD team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives within the Infrastructure Industry Group business plan, supporting client engagement and revenue growth.
• Analyze market, client, and competitor insights to identify trends, opportunities, and priority areas for business development.
• Support the development and execution of client engagement programmes, strengthening relationships with priority clients and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Drive go-to-market initiatives and integrated marketing campaigns in collaboration with marketing and communications teams.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of key marketing materials, credentials, and thought leadership aligned with industry developments.
• Provide industry input into pitches, proposals, and profile-raising initiatives, ensuring consistent and compelling positioning.
• Foster collaboration across practice groups, strategic client teams, and global BD functions to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Coordinate internal stakeholder engagement, including managing industry group meetings and communications.
• Track and report on BD activity, pipeline, and performance against strategic objectives.
• Mentor and guide junior BD team members, supporting high-quality and consistent delivery.
