Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Software Development Manager to lead a global team responsible for prioritizing and delivering a suite of tools serving AWS Infrastructure builders. The role blends tactical leadership with strategic insights to optimize investments and impact.

You will drive end-to-end development, collaborate across telecom and network operations, and shape roadmaps for internal tooling, contributing to a world-class, scalable cloud platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading engineering teams and delivering software/hardware systems.
• Experience guiding multi-team projects from design to livesite operations.
• Strong understanding of full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to partner with product or program management to define requirements and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead Software, Systems and Tooling strategy and roadmaps.
• Inspire and guide cross-functional teams to deliver product excellence.
• Provide telecom infrastructure technology expertise (Fiber, DWDM, IP).
• Oversee end-to-end software and systems development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Optical, Border Engineering and Network Operations to execute roadmaps.
