Job summary

Latham & Watkins in Washington, DC seeks a Global Information Governance Operations Project Lead to support destruction requests, NDAs, clawbacks, and other restrictions, while guiding IG staff and participating in cross-firm initiatives. The role offers hybrid in-office presence after two weeks.

You will collaborate with Technology to configure reviews, manage file intake and disposition, advise lawyers on data privacy and risk, and supervise IG operations with a focus on preserving sensitive

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Advanced degree preferred.
CRM/IGP/CIPP certifications encouraged.
Minimum 5 years of records/information management experience; law firm preferred.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Working with Technology department personnel to configure IG reviews using litigation support applications.
Assisting the Senior Manager with centralized support to practice office IG Operations departments/offices without dedicated IG staff.
Managing or contributing to global file intake, release, disposition & data access projects; ensure compliance; respond to questions; provide training as needed.
Advising attorneys and staff about information management best practices, data privacy and security issues, and risk management.
Guiding the IG Operations Center in supporting records retention and disposition virtual teams; identify files for retention; coordinate with attorneys/clients; maintain disposition records.
Protecting and maintaining highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information.
