Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager (Indirect) within Global Corporate Procurement to own and lead complex indirect spend categories across multiple business units and regions. You will develop global sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive savings while balancing risk, compliance, and ESG considerations.

This role offers high-visibility impact and exposure to senior leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting).
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing and category management across logistics, professional services, supply chain, or related spend areas.
• Experience managing categories across multiple units/regions, including indirect categories like Logistics, IT Software, Corporate Services, and Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Own complex categories across units/regions and develop category strategies.
• Develop global sourcing strategies to meet internal objectives and build supplier relationships.
• Manage categories in markets with limited competition and pricing transparency; identify and mitigate supplier risk (ESG, commercial).
• Evaluate supplier competencies and competitive positioning using cost models and benchmarking.
• Oversee RFx, spend analysis, contract evaluation, bid negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
• Lead transformational sourcing projects with global scope and coordinate across teams.
• Identify savings and controllership improvements with a focus on TCO and value beyond cost savings.
• Present strategies and decisions to senior leaders up to three levels above.
• Contribute to annual and three-year plans (OP1, OP2, forecast).
• Guide internal stakeholders on procurement processes with ethics in line with policy.
• Prepare and hold business reviews, assess vendor performance and opportunities.
• Mentor peers and share best practices across the global team.
