Amazon.com Services LLC in Austin, TX, is seeking a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager for Indirect Procurement. You will lead sourcing engagements across multiple spend categories, partner with internal stakeholders, and drive savings through data-driven strategies.

Candidates should have 5+ years in indirect procurement, experience with IT software/services, corporate services, and contracting, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation.
• Experience managing spend categories including IT Software/Services, Corporate Services, Marketing, Contingent labor, Facilities and Real estate, or Tail Spend.
• Experience with best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auctions, contracting).
• 5+ years of experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing sourcing engagements.

• Establish strong relationships with internal business partners; understand strategic direction, requirements and priorities across suppliers and spend categories.
• Support execution of sourcing events across indirect spend categories.
• Deliver savings and increase spend under management by adopting automated self-service sourcing technology.
• Support enhancements and roadmap of the self-service sourcing application based on purchasing history and stakeholder needs.
• Manage RFx, spend analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluations, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
• Collaborate with business and finance leaders to identify savings and controllership improvements, focusing on total cost of ownership.

Global Strategic Sourcing Manager play a pivotal role at Amazon, leading sourcing engagements across a wide range of business units to enable new initiatives to launch and scale rapidly. Global Strategic Sourcing Manager are expert practitioners in creating competitive environments, and have a strong bias for decision-making rooted in data and analytics. They routinely advise senior Amazon leaders on innovative sourcing strategies that create sustainable, long-term partnerships. They are highly effective communicators, able to articulate the value proposition of partnering with procurement.

Key job responsibilities

• Establishing strong relationships with internal business partners; building a robust understanding of strategic business direction, requirements and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories
• Supporting execution of sourcing events across all indirect spend categories
• Delivering savings and increased spend under management by driving adoption of an automated self-service sourcing technology application
• Supporting enhancements and the product development roadmap of the self-service sourcing application based upon purchasing history and stakeholder sourcing requirements
• Managing the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation
• Working with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements, focusing on total cost of ownership.
• Providing guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies; maintaining procurement ethics in accordance with Amazon’s global policies

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation
• Experience managing spend categories that include three or more of the following: IT Software, IT Services, Corporate Services, Marketing, Contingent labor, Facilities and Real estate, Capital Expenditure and Tail Spend (Indirect Categories)
• Experience with practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.)
• 5+ years of prior experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing sourcing engagements

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
