Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Incident Management Engineer to lead incident response and account ownership for our most critical AWS customers. You will coordinate communications, drive resolution of high-impact incidents, and partner with Engineering to continuously improve operational excellence.

This global role requires strong written and verbal communication, a proactive mindset, and the ability to operate in a follow-the-sun environment with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 3+ years of technical support experience.
• Experience in network and operating system support.
• Experience in information security and compliance.
• Knowledge of distributed computing environments.
• Fluency in Korean (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Drive the resolution of large scale customer impacting incidents as part of a team rotation.
• Lead critical customer escalations in collaboration with Engineering Teams.
• Provide incident response/management for customer's critical workloads, including leading calls.
• Contribute to Problem Records and post-incident documentation.
• Monitor customer metrics in real time to detect issues.
• Manage communications during high-impact events across channels.
• Collaborate with AWS stakeholders to improve operational excellence.
• Mentor peers and drive improvements across teams.
• Perform other duties as required by the organization.
