Job summary

Zarach Logistics is hiring an Import Specialist to manage shipments from foreign countries into the United States. You will be the single point of contact for clients, coordinating air and ocean moves and ensuring timely updates and accurate billing.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to train in customs brokerage and freight forwarding. On-site work in the Chicago area with some travel may occur.

Qualifications

• Excellent communications skills.
• Must be willing to train in a customs brokerage and/or freight forwarding role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air and ocean shipments from beginning to end.
• Consistently update clients with the status of their shipments.
• Interact with clients, carriers, and warehouses to resolve issues as they occur with shipments.
• Ensure timely updates of shipment details and update the transportation system with pertinent information and deadlines.
• Classify imported goods for proper product classification.
• Process customs clearance in ACE system.
• Ensure on-time delivery of cargo.
• Bill clients accurately for services rendered.
• Demonstrate knowledge of FDA requirements.
• Demonstrate knowledge of PGAs.
