Job summary

Interplace, Inc. is seeking a role focused on managing import shipments for assigned customers from Portland, Oregon. You will handle shipping, labeling, and distribution of cargo, and generate delivery orders and shipping labels as needed.

You will provide direct customer service, coordinate with customs brokerage, warehouse, and freight subcontractors, and perform filing and data entry. The position also involves accounts receivable for unpaid invoices within terms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare import shipments for assigned customers; includes customs clearance, shipping, labeling, and distribution of cargo.
• Provide customer service through direct contact with the customer.
• Communicate with other departments such as customs brokerage and warehouse.
• Communicate with subcontractors such as truckers and airlines to obtain necessary information for processing shipments.
• Filing and data entry.
• Responsible for accounts receivable for assigned accounts to collect unpaid invoices within credit term.
