Job summary

Courier Network Inc. in Miami, FL is seeking an Operations Associate to track, trace, and manage Expedited and NFO shipments for the Import Division. You will provide customer-specific updates and handle import and domestic transactions from RFQ to final delivery.

The role emphasizes carrier coordination, customs clearance, and proactive customer communication while maintaining SOPs and documentation compliance. A background in logistics with strong communication is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or similar.
• 1-5 years of proven logistics operations experience with a preference for freight forwarding experience; operate and quote shipments.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build great working relationships.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with carriers and origin and destination location agents regarding shipment status, special handling, and delivery processes.
• Communicate with customs to ensure clearance is obtained.
• Monitor and manage shipments until completion; keep customers apprised of export/import and domestic details.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness throughout the process using internal and external resources.
• Timely communication with customers, offices, overseas and domestic providers to maintain relationships.
• Update and maintain SOPs for assigned customers and inform team of changes.
• Manage new and existing portfolios including implementation of new procedures, quotes, contracts, routing and bids.
• Advise customers and act as advocate to resolve issues ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Keep customers apprised of export/import and domestic transaction details per SOP, SLA and terms.
• Ensure documentation complies with TSA and Ace Quality Assurance Standards SOPs.
