Job summary

Confidential Logistics Supply Chain in Miami is seeking an Air/Ocean Import Operations Specialist to manage international import shipments, primarily air freight, with support for ocean imports. This role requires urgency, accuracy, and proactive customer communication.

You will coordinate shipments end-to-end, review documents, resolve delays, and maintain data in the TMS system while supporting time-critical expedited options in a 24/7 global environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding or international logistics.
• Air import experience preferred; ocean experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air/ocean import shipments from arrival to final delivery.
• Monitor shipments and provide proactive status updates to customers.
• Coordinate with airlines, customs brokers, truckers, overseas agents, and global offices.
• Review shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and resolve delays, customs issues, and other shipment problems.
• Follow customer SOPs and compliance requirements.
• Support expedited and other time-critical shipments.
