Job summary

Jobot in Chicago is seeking an Import Specialist with CargoWise experience to join our logistics team. You will manage ocean and air imports, prepare and review documents, and ensure CBP and other agency compliance. You’ll coordinate carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal teams to keep shipments moving.

The role offers $60,000-$80,000 annually, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities to advance within a fast‑paced, collaborative organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Shipment Delivery on time per customer's request.
• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean and air import shipments from origin country to final destinations
• Prepare and review import documentation for Import customs clearance
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments
• Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system
